Stayed 1 night in my Blazer. I imagine you wouldn't have any problems as long as you are respectful. Cops drove by, didn't check me out. lol

Scenic waterfall into the sea. Can be seen great from the rock at this GPS location

A little used track turns off to the north. We followed it about 800 m in till we reach a huge rock. Nice campsite very quiet. Off the road, but if you have lights on they can be seen from the road.

Really nice campsite with some obvious attention to detail, such as the bathrooms, Parrillas and log burning ovens. And bidets in the bathrooms at a campsite is a first for me šŸ˜ Only negative is that the WiFi is only accesible from the reception. A small investment of some decent antennas would solve this. Next to very busy road. Swimming pool is lovely.

As already said elsewhere, no facility, but a relatively flat grassy place on a hill ridge with a beautiful view of the Westrim and down into the grasslands of the Masai Mara. The wet driveway through the grass was leveled with red earth / sand, so the driveway is no longer a problem.

Iā€™m the place itself is basic but nice. 20 minutes from New Orleans. The refinery plant is directly across the street and does emit a good amount of noise and light. We ended up moving down the dirt road and just staying one night.

STUNNING area to camp, beautiful lake and very open. However, amenities need attention no shower, no electric, no toilet seats šŸ˜† if you have a big rig the hill going down is VERY steep and bumpy. R$ 40.00 per night steep considering lack of facilities... views made up for it though šŸ˜

Under the fireball. Loud, somewhat strange place. Good for heavy sleepers or those that donā€™t mind noise. Here with 3+ other camper vans. Leaving early

As stated, getting a big motorcycle in here will take some confidence. Best option is to come down from the top. I would have tried it with my Honda CB500X.

However, the door was locked and nobody answered when I rang the bell. I believe the hotel is still open... but nobody was there when I stopped.

Tried to stay here but was asked to leave by a trooper at ~9:30pm. Seemed like not the first time he'd asked someone to leave this spot and directed us to the Flying J 20 min away.

Great spot as advertised. Bathrooms were open and clean. One spot was very level (RV space?) and got some decent sun in the morning for solar. Don't follow Google Maps directions along the "road" on the north side of the lake. Use CA-89

You'll see the small road that leads to this view point on your right when your are coming back from the end of the road. The view on the lake is gorgeous! It's relatively protected from the wind (still a bit, but not as much that down near the bridge). The parking is small, check it before if you have a big rig, no need of 4WD. Mostly rocks, not the best place to put a tent. There's no stream here, fill up when you're down to the lake ;) A few cars coming to take pictures, but no traffic at night. Very peaceful.

Great Caravan park with brand new facilities right next to the town. River runs on its side. You can walk across the bridge and get to town. Very clean new amenities. Great kitchen and TV area.

Nice place. Warm welcome. When we arrived there where many kids playing in the pool. So good for us with our 10month baby. Most are weekend visitors. Power at the campsite. Fireplace and very nice spot next to the river.

They now want 30.000 pesos pp. Drive to the right end of the meadow and you'll find one of the best places you ever had.

We arrived to the gendarmery, they told us, because of Pandemia, you have to ask the Oveja Tourism Office for permission. They do not want many people in the lagoons. I think if you go in weekdays they let you pass.

Very nice place. We had to wait until locals leave because they were blocking the way to the grassy area. Calm during the night even you are close to the dusty road (but not visible feom the road) Great wind protection. Accessible for all types of of vehicles. Good Entel mobile signal. Mosquitoes.

There were already a number of campers at the aforementioned spot. So we stopped at the first turnoff on the right exiting 1, enough room for 1-2 vehicles. We watched the sunset go down over the tiny airport, didnā€™t hear any planes all night. We DID hear sea lions and coyotes in the distance, which made the spot feel more natural and wild. We arrived at dusk and left at 7am before traffic really started up again. Definitely nice for spending a night in the Bay Area!

The "river road" can also be used by big rigs. Evasive maneuvers cannot be easy, because the road is narrow, swamp left and right.

Very clean truck stop. Multiple gas stations and fast food restaurants nearby. Spent one safe, quiet night here.

This lot is now a large Tesla charging station. I did not attempt to stay the the night here or in surrounding areas, although there were a few other cars/trailers pulled off on various side roads. There are multiple gas stations and fast food restaurants, but I did not feel comfortable staying the night.

It looks like they have at least 2 dump stations along the curb when you first enter. I'm not sure if they are free or paid.

Kaz has created a wonderful space on top of the world. Breathtaking views, two (soon three!) natural steam saunas, eco and sustainability friendly and truly delicious food. Earth camp is still growing, with
a bar area and additional camping facilities to come. Currently there is good camping space, plus two wonderful cottages built in traditional style.

Would advise to contact Kaz before going as it is remote and without nearby facilities.

Very friendly & adorable small town! Cute shops & restaurants, with infinite free street parking. I stayed on this street near the pretty pine trees for a few nights without issue (in a Sprinter Van). I am fully self-contained so I am not sure about nearby bathroom /shower facilities.
