ascended121 | Campsite with fire ring off of Forest Road 607. Room for several vehicles but probably not possible to get a big rig into the site. Nice view of Tuscon down below and nice stars at night. Very quiet and out of view of MT Lemon Hwy despite being so close. Moderate Verizon 4G service. Intermittent AT&T service. |

Very poor neighborhood, kids comment “Casa Rodante” no one came to disturb. |

mkgbcatcher | Large pullout that measures about 40 meters by 100 meters, only one fire ring. Good option for birding the Patagonia area. Forest service land. Free. Road crews are working on refining the road a little further up. It’ll be beautiful once done. East to do in a sedan. Road is good. Latch gate at highway. There is private land between here and the road, but just using the road to get to the forest service land is OK. Patagonia lake state park is gross and over run by cows and costs 15/20 dollars. Gross. Version three bars. Free! |

groovinandcruisin.com | We crossed the border on Monday, March 1. Everyone was very friendly. They asked for our Covid test before starting the immigration process. It was a woman sitting at a little white table, she takes your temperature and accepts a copy of your negative COVID test then gives you a piece of paper with your temperature written on it and you go to immigrations. After immigrations you go to get the TIP across the lot. I believe it was $26 for 90 days. You have to pay in cash. If you don’t have cash you can exchange currency across the street. They did 7.20q per USD. You can always make copies across the street. They searched the car a bit. They didn’t take away any of our food and searched our duffel bags pretty intensely, but all was good! Very pleasant border crossing experience. Must have taken an hour total once we left Mexico. They also fumigate your car and give you a certificate before you do the Covid check. Safe travels! |

clayclay | 3 bars of T-Mobile once you get down to the “beach” but that’s about all it has going for it. I arrived to about 20 trucks and trailers hauling ATVs. They were relatively quiet during the afternoon and most left at dusk. The ones that stayed were a drunken nightmare. Instead of riding on the trails they stuck to the open “beach”. It’s mostly just a dusty dirt lot with washout areas and garbage. Garbage everywhere. I know this is a free state park, but come on. I wouldn’t recommend you stay there, especially solo women. When the sun went down the drunken boys began to ride and wander near my van. They never bothered me and I have a feeling it’s because I’m a broad and heavy man. Can’t say women will get the same treatment. If you do stay, park where I am in the picture. It’s far enough from the beach where those fools won’t hit you and trailers won’t park in the morning. I left and drove to the nearest Cracker Barrel about 35 minutes away. |

ceci.jayo | Love this little spot! You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere completely by yourself in a gorgeous landscape with a little rock fire place. We saw the most gorgeous sunset and there’s a bit of cell service especially if you have a booster. The road is a dirt road, so it’s likely you’ll have to go a bit slow with a big rig. |
