We were not amazed by this park... Maybe the long trek is worth it, but the short ones aren't spectacular.

I would NOT bring a van or RV to this site. This is tent camping only. If your van has 4x4..maybe.
There is a 6 mile gravel road to this spot, and the last mile is one lane and difficult. Since we drove up in our van later in the day, we didn't really have an option to go back down before gates closed. We did find a nice compact area to park for the night. It was indeed quiet. The deuce back down in our promaster, well that's another story.
Seriously, unless you're absolutely adventurous, keep this a tent camping site. ABSOLUTELY NO CLASS Cs or As or trailers.

Big campground for residents. There are few parking spaces available for overnight camping. Just ask.

Carnegie SVRA has a campground with 20 designated spaces available on a first-come basis, along with picnic tables, potable water, flush toilets, showers (coin operated), and shade ramadas.

I didn't actually stop here, but given the scarcity of campgrounds in this region I thought this should be added here.

Happy camping!

Great little spot. I was told it can get busy on warm weekends, but otherwise it's pretty mellow. There's a machine to pay when you first arrive. Be aware that it charges $20 per "day" but it actually seems to give you closer to 36 hours. For example, I arrived at 5pm on Tuesday and my permit was good until 7am on Thursday.

There are three parking areas and camping is only allowed in the middle lot. The first area is for day use/kite surfers, and last area is the boat launch parking lot.

Nice camp hosts. Pit toilets are clean, and there are several picnic tables in the camping area. It's a short walk to the beach. The nearby windmills can get kind of loud when it's windy.

Beautiful peaceful campground with cabins and spots for camping or van. Each spot has outlets and potable water. The place is quiet and peaceful and next to a river. Facilities are really nice and clean. It was $15 per night for me to camp with my motorcycle.

Nice gravel road to site. Large areas along the road but this one is big enough for a larger camper. There are many spots on this road afterwards for big and small tents and campers. Lots of off road opportunities. The glass rocks were used for arrow flints. Beautiful glass rocks. Good Verizon cell service.

On the phone they told the cost for parking inside the wall (no services) was 200 pesos but when there they increased to 250. We ended up sleeping in the lot just before the hotel premises. It is owned by Pemex and we shared it with some truck. Tragic until about 10 but then quite

Nice RV park, considering the town is pretty iffy. Pretty standard. Beautiful backdrop of the Redwoods and Eel River. You can walk around down by the river which is nice. There’s a small dog park, volleyball, and horseshoes or cornhole (can’t remember which). The showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities were still closed “due to COVID” which was unfortunate since the price definitely didn’t adjust considering that. The RV park is located in the town of Myer’s Flat, which is a little skeptical just by appearance. We did get some creepy stares from some men as we drove in (they weren’t apart of the RV park just up the road) which didn’t help the safety factor. The RV park felt safe though. We didn’t need to stay more though. Don’t get your hopes up on any restaurants, breweries, or much else. There is a market/deli right by the RV park which has your basic stuff if you want to camp.

Pulled in and filled up. Other maverick stations didn’t have water, and other gas stations had spigots, but were turned off to due to cold. This one was awesome! Currently 29°F.

There is a water spigot underneath the 2 hour parking sign. There was no one to ask, but we used it without any issues.

We stayed here for 5 months over the winter season.
Loved it !!!😁
All the staff were great and there was a real community feel amongst our neighbours.
The only complaint was that the wifi was not very good.
However they are supposed to be upgrading there supply this year.

A funky bar with great people open until 2 am. They let me stay overnight after I asked. It was quiet and no one bothered me in their parking lot out front. The local Walmart’s don’t seem to allow parking and this was a great option for me in a small converted cargo van. Bigger rigs and trailers would not fit in the parking spaces and I think RVs would probably stand out too much. I felt lucky to find a good quiet spot. I enjoyed a drink and there’s food restaurants nearby. I left a nice tip. I got takeout and brought it to the bar.
And since they don’t serve food they suggested it. A real interesting place to see in Austin: it’s a building built around some real trains! I walked my small quiet dog on a leash around the area but he was not allowed inside.

Outlaw station! For true wild west outlaws! Check out the amazing, abandoned gas station. Then, pull in behind it down a dirt road about 30ft back. Perfect little spot for overnight. Quiet and hidden!

Got here at 7pm on a Monday. Two locals were parked here, so I decided to camp at a pull off a little ways up the road. About 30 min later, they sped off blaring music. I went to go make sure the spot was now available, and saw that they had left a full blown campfire burning. I drowned it myself and proceeded to take the spot. There was a decent amount of alcohol cans around camp, but otherwise seemed nice. I was still getting a but of an unsettling vibe as I went to bed. At 4 am, they were back. They pulled right up into my camp, not 10 ft from my vehicle blaring music again. The music stopped after about 20 min but they stayed in my camp blocking the road to leave for an hour and a half. It seemed like they were probably here drinking. I felt too uncomfortable to get out of my vehicle and am glad they left before sunrise. Overall, I feel very unsafe here and would not recommend. If you see a silver Ford flex, I recommend leaving the area and camp elsewhere.

Update: Ford Flex came back around sunrise. Tried to turn around at the top of the hill (probably drunkenly) and ripped his front bumper off. Then came down the hill again and parked. Doesn't appear to be leaving.
