Fantastic place as described below. Super friendly and all well maintained. Now it‘s 280 ARS pp, but worth it. Best place we have had till now. We also had a lovely dinner at last years eve. Wonderful atmosphere.

We also tried to withdraw money with our American cards. No luck. Gas station took our Credit card so we will try at other places in the south.

Kilometers of sandy beach. Even on New Year’s Day there was just one party per kilometer. Very quiet besides the waves. No facilities. Free. Claro 4G reception. Access from main road at -16.666772, -72.581514, from there 700 m down the cliffs, steep and narrow, but firm.

The Hardap Lake is very beautiful. The rest camp is part of a larger area with a good restaurant and numerous lodges. The views are spectaculair. The swimming pool is very nice but, on Jan 1, very crowded. The campsite is sandy with almost no shade. Ablutions are reasonable. It can be windy. Price 165 Nam$ pppn plus $40 pppn for park entrance and $10 for the car

It was way too windy on the bay so we found a spot off the dirt road heading to San Isidro, and about mile for MEX 1, in a cactus field. Lots of cows around. Hidden
Enough room for a 4x4 or a van. Better with high clearance & off road tires

This place is nice enough! Friendly family, big rooms, fast enough wifi for YouTube, a few dogs and cats floating about looking for pats. 25 soles for a single room.

Big gravel place where you can park your car. Only an other truck and some locals which showed by, where there when we stayed there during the day. Several times we had the chance to watch some delphins. Really nice place.

Quiet enough for proximity to highway. Plenty of space and a great spot to pass the night while on the road.

You can camp next to the river, I was here for one night, you can enjoy the nature and the sounds of the river, people of the place says that is safe to camp here. It's totally free and you can swim on the river.

Awesome! If you need a pass, go down the road about a mile to the A1A gas station, they have passes. We wouldn't have been able to go on the beach without 4wd, but we are close to 10k. three other people stayed on the beach along with us. Was really cool listening to the waves all night and waking up to an amazing sunrise.

This used to be a toll station, but it isn't anymore. However, people still try to charge you something, using the station as an official prove. You can just pass by without paying any fee.

We camp trough the days of the Cosmic Convergence.
Hot showers and toilets.
The owner is not a good man, he mistreats his employees, almost slavery with poor Domingo (the vigilant and worker).
He told us one price and then changed, be aware of this man. He might look good local but not. He is a bussines man that does not care about the community. He told us horrible things, he is a racist.
We paid for 4 nights 300Q, but consider we where at festival time so might be cheaper.
The place is reasonable, not to much flat spots, noisy because is on the road. We stayed here only because of the festival.

El dueño es un facho y un racista desagradable.

We stopped to have lunch and check out the beach. We wanted to stay overnight based on the original post. We stopped a police car to ask if we were allowed. They said if we take up two parking spots and are over 7 ft tall then we can’t stay overnight and we would get ticketed.

Anyone with a camper van under 7 feet that only takes up one parking spot can stay up to 72 hours.

Don’t say you weren’t warned!! A nice scenic spot for lunch though.

The Casino offers three night stays for RVs in the parking lot. You need to sign up for a player club card and get a tag for your Car’s rearview mirror. After three nights you need to stay out for 24 hours to be able to stay for another three nights. When I signed up for the card they gave me $10 of free play and a voucher for a free meal at the buffet.

The sites are pretty level and well lit. There is security that monitors the parking lot. The Casino is open 24 hours and has lightning fast wifi. The bathrooms are clean too. This was a great stop.

We’re here in our rooftop tent/4x4 and are staying 2 more nights because it’s so beautiful. We’ve paid 8000 colones per night for 2 people as we don’t want electric but there’s running water and the cleanest showers and toilets we’ve seen so far! Plus the parking spot for an over lander is stunning. It’s definitely cold - last night we were at 6degrees but it was a refreshing break from the heat of the coast. If you can’t find anyone when you get here - either try the restaurant or walk up the hill opposite the camping entrance to the house - they are the owners.

We stopped here to camp and visit the waterfalls but the guy told us he is closed now as all the wood supporting the campsite is rotten and unsafe. He suggested asking at the Nauyaca falls office but they also said there was nowhere available

Lovely old (84, but very strong) lady that lives alone and runs the campsite. 3500pp but we left a tip for the firewood, delicious bread and the warmth of her home she offered when it was cold and wet. She probably sees few customers, but the place was fine, basic, but hot water (even bath tubs).
