Nice spot right on the water. 50p to entre the park and a man came up later charging 50p for camping. No facilities, just a nice grassy spot with a chair and fire pit. Good spot to stay if you want to get up early to explore the falls without crowds.

A nice bay at a small fisher village. Long waves beautifull sunset and a lot of stars. Some garbidge but that is at a lot of places. We stayed 2 night. Friendly villagers.

service very slow who cares right! food salty greasy and without flavor a favorite for gringos no locals eat here, pricey!

beach location 15 minutes walk from lenga village, easy way to follow, ask people for the place is very friendly you can camp without problems away from the city

Great hostel that will let you camp outside in your van for s.10 and use the kitchen bathrooms and social spaces. Bit noisey on the street but felt safe (though was tough to get fully level). Hostel organises many trips out and has lots of local info. Dorms also available from s.20

Although Mario himself was friendly and helpful at first I really can't recommend him for complex issues. I came in with an intermittent motor issue, I had already sought advice from a mechanic I used in Colombia who I really trust (Henry in Cali!) but Mario took me to his friend and the pair of them refused to listen to Henry and my opinion (I am a trained mechanical engineer) at one point stating "look, I'm the mechanic, do you want me to fix it or not? you aren't a mechanic and you don't know". stuck between a rock and a hard hard place I ignored my gut and allowed him to proceed to change all my spark plugs and charge me around $100 for it. The next day the issue re-emerged and Mario shrugged and said it was just one time and it was ok. Due to the lack of good mechanics here I decided to limp the car to cusco where Fernando (another quality mechanic) quickly agreed with the issue me and Henry saw (fuel filter blockage) and has since fixed it. Mario may be ok for reasonably simple issues but he was in the end he really let me down and I wouldn't trust him with any vaguely complex work again.

Good spot if you don’t want to pay for camping inside the park or arrive late

I loved it. they take care about the environment. they have solar power for the showers, fresh herbs you can use I. the kitchen, organic shampoo, lockers in each room for your belongings. also a self made guide with things you can do during your stay. super nice breakfast, very clean. I would definitely go there again.

We parked our campervan nearly at the beach, where we were visible from the bridge but enjoyed a nice view on the river. Good place to stay!

Nice walk and easy until you‘ll get into the forest - there were some fallen trees to climb over and the trail isn‘t marked well at this part. As soon as the river is crossed, it’s easy again.

We payed today 3300 pesos for this insurance, and done immediatly about 1 hour because of many pepole in the quee. payment only cash.very kind guy.

Great place to stay. The owners taking care of you. We paid 400.000 with or 250.000 without shower for 2 pers. / night. Dinner in the restaurant is huge and very good (400.000 p. P.)

Very nice, quiet and beautiful campsite with great and very clean facilities. Beautiful location and with private beach. Everything is so well maintained that it looks as if it is new. Super nice and helpful staff. Adults 6.000 pesos/person/night.

We stayed with our campervan and were the only ones there. We were welcomed with open arms and the staff helped us with everything we needed! Highly recommended!

Beautiful spot next to a calm river. There are some bbq places, but the place looks very abandoned. during the day some locals come to swim, but 50 meters upriver there is nobody. The road from the Mexican border is fine, but after 10k there is a turnoff to Playa Grande and Isquixchis. That one is the toughest we ever did. We came from Isquixchis, pushing our bikes 4,5 hours to cover 15km.

Great spot right on the beach. Beach is pebbly. A little windy as I write this but should die down. Not a soul in sight. Dead dolphin 100meters away on the beach so may be a little sketchy surfing. Very peaceful.

Reasonably priced propane. 2/20/2019 filled my tanks for $2.99 gal. plus tax.

Local library in the village of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Valley. Even if the library is closed , you are able to get a decent wifi signal if you need an internet connection when travelling through this area.

on ruta 40 there is a small sign of a shop. a family with their son lives here. they have basic stuff in their shop (local refreshments and beer etc) i stopped to buy something cold and they let me camp in their garden. toilets with bucket. friendly family, nice quiet garden with no wind.

A large place in the middle of the "ghost town". only 40 inhabitants. at the church you can get drinking water and toiletts. very quiet and safe.

a old beautiful adobe church houses the Virgin de Guadalupe. the big festival is in the first week of September. don't miss it.

Easy pull in with many places to stop. Nice view of the ocean in the morning. Can be noisy if a lot of semis are around with their engines on. Would recommend this location in terms of “sleepability” compared to the rest area 6 miles away.

Great spot under a looming ancient tree, great fire ring and enough space for several tents and a few cars, and we even had a trailer with us. Improved dirt road all the way to the sight however I would recommend caution after rain. Plenty of dead brush around for fires, beware the cows looming at night me and my friend both got an unsettling feeling we were being watched in the middle of the night but we ended up finding fresh hoof prints and cow scat so that makes me a little more comfortable.

TL;DR: great easy spot on the way to hole in the rock

Camping is 3500mk. There are also rooms. Food is massively overpriced, bring your own or eat before. The most expensive restaurant in Malawi without doubt
