The only camping in Copiapó. Price is $6000pp.
Toilets are clean and have soap and paper. Showers have hot water.
Small swimming pool next to lawn for tents.
Only room for small campers close to the road. Room for tents is behind buildings and much more quiet.
The water is treated but very high in minerals and not for drinking.
Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Public beach with grassy area behind. Some small hats like warungs on the beach. Shady places under trees. At weekends locals there. Nice to swim. Quiet at night. Free. google maps shows the wrong entrance leads to the nearby hotel/resort. Ask locals to get to the beach.

No more mess, we found a couple of stands on a grassy place behind the lodge. Power points do not work, if electricity is needed, stay close to the entrance, there's a power point that will go. Small clean ablutions and no shade, but that's Ok for one night. As the water in the ablutions was cold, we were given access to one of the appartments to use the bathroom, nice. A bar is close by in the lodge. WiFi can be used, just ask. 160 ZAR for two. Dogs allowed. (leashed)

Price still the same. Insurance mandatory in Argentina. She will also change chileno pesos for Argentina pesos. As of feb 2018 she was changing at a rate of 35 chilenos per peso. On the other side of the border the people were offering 38 or 40. I waited until perito Moreno and a hotel gave me 33.3.

This is only an on-street parking area that is unrestricted, flat, and provides shade. No formal camping area! Van dwellers are often seen living in this location. The area itself is generally regarded as safe. No amenities present. Adjacent to Volunteer Park. No restrooms close by.

Construction of a harbour/container terminal has started 100m to the south, so quite a bit of contruction traffic passing. At the moment still possible to camp though.
The extension of the promenade just north from here is closed to vehicles. There’s tap water and shower there but no toilets.

Can't quite share the excitement of others for this place.
Camp sites with lots of animal manure everywhere and woke up to loud music over the entire compound at 6:45 am. We were the only guests.
Clean bucket shower and bathroom.
Paid 50 pesos pp.
Just an ok place, you have to walk to the beach about 15 min.

Little coffee shop in the sailing club building. Great place for a coffee or light lunch, with lovely breakfasts that are really good value - egg on toast with beans just R10! Also licensed if you enjoy a cold beer with lunch! Owner very friendly and welcoming. Peaceful and pleasant spot on the river.

Great little breakfast (maybe other meals too). Also the only thing open in the morning. Instant coffee, but great scrambled eggs with cheese and warm, fresh, and good textured bread! Highly recommend!

If you’ve already visited ruins in Mexico, Belize or Guatemala, it’s not worth it to come here ... not really authentic and very small site, but a great chance to be alone on site, and only 3$. What the photo shows is the best view of the site

There is a new fence and a locked gate. You can‘t go as far the point is.
However, we just parked in front of the fence and enjoyed the view to the mountains. Very quiet at a friday night.

Stayed here on a Friday night, no problem! Free after 5pm. Took a bit of driving around the parking lot to find a flat spot, but otherwise great! Awesome views for breakfast.

Really enjoyed this spot, we were camped with another rig in the corner by the laundry building. $3/pp Bathroom inside hotel lobby, only open during the day to use, no showers anymore, but we had water spickit right next to where we camped where we hooked up our hose for rinsing off after surf. You not oceanfront, but a two minute walk to surf. Fast wifi as well as two nice decks, one lower and open upper to hang out. They will do laundry (wash + dry), 1 large bag for $3. She told us rooms are $10 pp to stay in the hotel.
