adventureofhanselandgretel.com | We drove from Armenia to Ibague on a Saturday afternoon. It took us 3 hours. No construction work but lots of trucks. Roads are wide enough to pass. However, be careful over taking big trucks crossing the double yellow line, as the police might wait around the corner ready to give you a ticket. |

Moto Migrants | we did this road on our motos and I wouldn't want to do it in a car/van. we passed a 6km stand still due to a head on collision. then at the little town of cajamarca was another line of a few km, I could see how this would take 6hrs. it took us 3hr to go from Ibague to Armenia and all we did was pass trucks the whole time. the area where this is marked on the map wasn't bad just the rest was. good luck if you are not on 2 wheels! |

3enruta.wordpress.com | Sergey is a mechanic who loves overland trips (he has traveled by offroad car to Central Asia, China, Russia, Mongolia ...). He speaks a bad English but he is very patient, good worker, knows how to read the vehicle (we have an Iveco van, which is very rare in the country) and will do everything in his power so that you can continue your trip. We left the van with a friend who translated us and when he came back to the vehicle there was a client who spoke good English ... The worksoop is inside a large closed area, the door in street is at 43.268701, 76.93091. Go to the bottom of closed area and turn right. When we were there, Sergey had entrusted a poster that he will hang at the entrance to the street. Ask for Sergey or Andrey. |

mail-simeon | really nice and quiet place for a night. when we were there there was almost nobody so there were no Kiosks either. we arrived quite late and paid in the morning. the river looked nice for taking a swim. its about 16km from the Highway but Acayucan is close with gasstation and shops and supermarkets. |

jaimesbigtrip.wordpress.com | Great selection of Peruvian micro brews on tap with around 15 beers available. Not cheap at 18soles for a pint, burgers also available for around 30soles (didn't try them but they looked good). Open 12-12 Mon.-Sat. Located within a courtyard next to a small wood-fired pizza place with good pizza except for the ubiquitous plain Peruvian cheese. |

adventureofhanselandgretel.com | What a beautiful place to stay. The entire family is so friendly and welcoming. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and they had a birthday party planned for the evening and Informed us the music will be loud till late. Earplugs did the job. They offered us to plug into electricity and They have two friendly male dogs. Our Ford F350 truck plus truck camper (3.6m hight, 7.46m long) Managed the road up to the property without any problems. |

** There was a super cute very light tan dog there, small, very friendly. Had a chihuahua looking face but bigger overall and a stubby / docked tail. He had a foot injury, which my wife (Physician) spent some time dealing with. Can someone please let us know if he is ok / still there. Cutest dog ever, and I believe a reservation dog. He loves to be picked up and cuddled. He needs a good home! Hint, hint. I am startng to really regret not at least taking him somewhere else, my reasoning was that someone else is very likely to take him on and we are really not set up to have a dog with us. keeponexploring.com | As described, no signs. High walls, tall gate and secured parking for our 6.5x2.2x3.5m rig. Comfortable and clean rooms with AC. We paid 35,000, but they started asking 50,000. The owner, Alfredo, eventually came by to say hello and was very friendly. We recommend. |

l_thompson | Mostly primitive camping (two sites have power and water for an additional $10/day). Campsites are $25/day. Right on the ocean. Mostly tenting sites, only two longer sites that are suitable for RV, they are the ones with power and water. Showers are coin operated and we have been told they are quite hot. |

michael.lafreniere | nice cascadas with special rock forming, this is free, this is also a spot for rock climbing but for traditionnal, you can also do a little bit of top rope with the trees and big rock, this is a really nice spot for camping with tent or camper but we ask to two locals persons and they told us that they dont recommand us to sleep there but that it is better the other side of the canyon. |

onespaceman | We think the owner posted the one original information. It sounded great. Our GPS took us on a very bad, rutted, pot holed dirt road which appeared to be the only way to access the camping spot. After 2 km, we decided it was not worth it to drive on that road any longer and turned around. Perhaps others would be fine with the road and would enjoy this place. |

nathi | It is true that they do not allow „big“ cars on the Ponton Bridge. There have been Trucks with more or the same freight then we have (8,5t) but were smaller and were allowed to drive over the pontons. For big Cars there is a very funny Ferry. We were on the Ferry with a 40 t and 12 t Truck. The technique of the Ferry is interessting and very funny, a Little Adventure ;-) |

unscriptedride.com | When heading north (away from Cacequi) take the dirt track on the right just past the pin location. Dirt track doubles back for about 100m until it comes to a dead end - bit overgrown. Flat space for a couple of tents and a vehicle. No shade or shelter but invisible from the road. Quiet and dark overnight, we slept really well.
