Grassy area on top of a hill (spectacular views but difficult to find a flat space), defined by an electric fence. It has one communal picnic shelter, several braai stands, long drop toilets (ladies was NOT clean and you need to take your own toilet paper), a pile of wood to chop yourself for a fire, and a borehole with hand pump. No power, no other source of water and no private cubicles in which to strip wash or use a camp shower (unless you count the toilet cubicles!).

Price is US$25pppn plus park entry fees ($40pppn + $40 foreign registered vehicle).

So basically two European adults and one vehicle is $170 per night, but that is charged per night so does allow you two days in the park - the day you arrive and the day you leave.

If you're staying at or near KaingU Lodge they have a short scramble/bush walk to see rapids, and a nice riverside bar.

Great lodge and worth the drive through the GMA. We met the owner and he gave us lots of advice for our trip.

If you don’t have vehicle insurance for Macedonia, you can buy it here - even on a Sunday. The shortest option is 15 days and costs €50 for a car or motorcycle. (Our Jeep Wrangler was considered a car). They accept cash or credit cards.
The Macedonian border official will keep your passport while you purchase insurance and then return it to you when you show him the insurance document. It’s all very quick and easy.

Très belle vue. Camping très calme. 2 jours hors saison, donc le camping pour nous. 35/pppn. Un peu cher, car personne n'est venu nettoyer ou vider les poubelles. Victor très sympa.

Campground with pads and tables. Fire pits. BEWARE you need to register online to get a space, even though there are available sites. Sucks because there is no cell reception there. Plan ahead. Cute campground on stream.

Super fast, almost no papework required. I have crossed from Kyrgazstan to Kazakhatan, with a motorcycle. Basically no luggage check, very friendly people at both borders.

Being Sunday the place was closed. We asked around, no English, eventually gave up. Took a picture of the closed store, to show the police in case they were askong for insurance. No police on the road though, finally got the insurance in Almaty.

Nice hostel, 70000 cop for a double with shared bath. Big kitchen to use and food market close by. Wifi works good and decent communal areas.

If you go there just for the shower, you have to pay the day use fee at the entrance station. It's 6,- per car which makes the shower quite expansive...

Perfect 8 hr layover :). Quiet, and right by the river, not too many mosquitos, super clean pit toilet 👍

Police check point. Checked our documents: driver's licence, car document and insurance. Looked at the back of our vehicle. Asked us where we were going and where we were coming from. No problems.

Hotel with ground floor access. Indoor courtyard for secure bicycle storage and possibly motorbikes (although might be a squeeze with panniers through the corridor from the street. 30k for a single room, cold shower.

Lovely place as described below. We camped on nice grassy area just in front of the river with lots of birds around. Showers and bathroom very clean. Super lovely hosts made us feel really welcome! $10 per tent (not pp)

Great Mechanic. He helped us out with some small things. Even people from Santiago told me, that he is one of the best.

Nice small Café with real coffee!! They even have homemade cakes. Very tasty :)
Enter the supermarket, go left to the stairs, second floor.

Nice quite Campspot for all kind of vehicles. Easy to reach from Mainroad turn right and drive 100 m to the Forest.
Everywhere trees for shelter. Very quite, nothing around!

Stayed the night at #5, it was nice, a beautiful view. No camp fires allowed during our stay because of a local fire ban.

The road that leads to the national park goes along a nice beach were the locals go and swim. We stayed there during the day and went to sleep on the parking. The guard came to ask where we were from and let us sleep after.
In summer, there isn't any shadow so it can be really hot.

Here there is a piste going at right with the indication "Sariin Khundii". Don't turn here, the way is broken when it arrive at the dry river. You can continue alright to the dry river and then take on right, 500m after you will can stop your vehicle to visit the canyon (you will can drive in the canyon if you are by motocycle) and arrive at an open valley inside the Khurzi Khana.
