There are a few dirt roads next to the 25 road. They lead to a viewof the valley and river. Small place to camp but great spot for the view.

We travel with a dog and the old (super friendly) woman said she loved dogs so she allowed us to have our dog in the room.

nice and quiet spot. no natural source but access to the beach (swimming was not permitted because of bacteria but there were people swimming) . Washrooms are clean. Beautiful sunset. Lot of mosquitoes!

It's a campground in the Yellowstone Nationalpark. Very central, so you can start from here your daytrips. The campground is 20$ per night, with water and flushable toilet- no electricity or showers. It's a come first, save first campground. I stayed here on the 4 July, so the campground was full from 8:30am!!
The campground has also "walk in sites". So if you are a hiker or a bicycler and you stay there, the fee is only 5$

Camping along a dead end road with no traffic. Flat spot in an uneven terrain. Pretty windy but otherwise very quiet. Great scenery and 3G reception!

We spent here three nights. Absolutely quiet. We saw nobody, only the police came every evening and asked if everything was alright. The hiking hostal had no wifi.

We ended up in this very charming apartment in the historical town center, with a wooden floor and stone walls. Warm and spacious, super central, all shops needed around, good bars and restaurants at max 5 minutes walk. The landlord Marie-France is super welcoming!

Important for us was the private and secured parking with roof for a car and motorcycles.

Highly recommended!

On the way to Song Kul from эм-16 we stayed here for a night. The dirt road here is pretty decent so far, even for a VW Transporter with only a few hundred very bumpy meters directly after the village.

Beautiful scenery! You can stay anywhere between эм-16 and the switch backs further up in the direction to Song Kul. Water available.

Street to Song Kul is definitely doable for a true 4x4 but we did it with our Syncro as well! Be prepared for many many off-road kilometers until you reach tarmac again!

we stayed here next to the riverbed, just a few minutes down from bodega Domingo Molinos. The next day we left the camper here and walked 3,5km down the road through the vineyards to bodega piatteli (had there a great 5 course menue with 6 wines to taste, that came with it). both bodegas well worth a visit!
we spend another night at this Spot. down the road you will find lots of little nice areas to park. the locals we spoke to are used to have Campers around and don't mind.

We wouldn't have spent the night here has we not had mechanical problems. Quiet (off season) and stayed for free - no one checked in on us. Lights on all night. BBQ areas, some covered.
Topped up with water. Avoid the toilets.

Great hostel with friendly staff. Everything works and is clean. Pool was amazing to cool down. Stayed in our Landcruiser in the parking lot and paid 6$ per person. One laundry load was 100 som. Great atmosphere, we highly recommend!

New young chief seemed well trained: asked 10 $ / passeport for the DGM form.
We politely denied and he replied that we were "bad tourists" because we refused to pay.
He called the guy at the border to inform him that we would cross the border the next day. (passeport will be stamped there)
Not so long at the end, only about 20min.

Still very good dirt road, but no maintenance on ditches or damaged sections (approx 40km before Luozi).
Maybe we were lucky, but only one police check-point, asking for "something" ... then the happy policeman was gifted with a charming smile ;)

Enjoyed camping here. Paid 3,000 per adult and 2,000 per child. We loved the swings. It’s a beautiful area and was a nice change from the beach. It gets very cold but is green and lush with lots of farmlands around. We had lots of great meals prepared by Jenny and she is very friendly. We watched her husband milk their cow too. Didn’t spot any quetzals but stayed here while we went to see Volcan Irazu (about a 30 min drive).

Little hostal with big fenced parking lot. Big rigs will have no problem. Super friendly elderly lady and excellent seafood. Toilets and showers with running water (not salty). Excellent seafood.
We paid COP 10.000 per person to sleep in our car. Other overlanders also sleeping here paid COP 10.000 in their own tent.

Safe hostel with parking lot (2.20mts high) with sufficent space for.m small campers at a nice price of $10 dollars per person we did not ask for permission to set our roof tent but the owner is very flexible and nice person who also runs tour to isla plata at 30 dollars which is cheaper that at the malecón as they have their own nice boat.

Nothing happened in the beach crab since 2016 (not even the exchange rate! Bring cash) Roads were terrible from Pangani to Ushongo (rainy weather). The food was good and location very nice.
