Very good place for a night. we stayd 2 night here. go very early in the Park approx 6am and come back late before 7pm. gate was open and no one around office door was closed.

big dusty area for RV parking, the site is ok but the showers and toilets are a bit dirty and run down. none of the male showers (x4) had shower heads just a pipe sticking out of the wall (cold water only).
very disappointed in the facilities as the owners are nice and the pool is well maintained ,(lots of locals come and swim, swimming lessons etc) 200 pesos for dry camping.

was here a week. lots of local RV repair folks a painting RVs. bar on West end is crazy loud weekends (until 4:30am). 30a plug had 50a breaker, ran both A/C's fine. good water pressure, all sites have dump connect. beach access is good. overall a good place to stay at least as a stopover. Provided internet never really worked. There was a Sky Free network which was working well. Maybe from the hotel next door. T-Mobile & their internet works well.

We found this spot after having checked out the other iOverlander places and not being impressed by those. This one is truly quiet, not a car, tractor or person the entire night. No facilities at all, but also no trash, which is quite remarkable.

Official stop to check you have paid road tax. Will stamp your toll receipt you don’t have to pay anything

Came back for a second time as we wanted to do the coffee tour which was really good. Campsite on a flat helipad in front of the lodge, nice hot showers and ablution block clean. Restaurant good, WiFi and the best coffee you can buy in Tanzania, beautifully packaged and makes excellent gifts for back home.

A so amazing spot. You can stand 48h. , for us the perfect place to slow down after Galapagos. In this time there were a lot of smal green ara parrots, they come for the fruits like Tamarinde which falls down from the trees Amy time. In nighttime quiet, in daytime at weekend many fiendly People. when wind cool from the lake. All for free.

Nice place during the week days, you can park on the parking lot, there is shadow, quiet during the night. We used the cold shower of the swimming pool. You can access to the swimming pool and the zoo.

Price: 30 soles for two.

Very well maintained place at the lake near City (3km). The place was also open on 1.11.2018. Price including service 40 C $.

This spot is a large, grassy sparsely treed pine forest with several informal campsites. Stone fire rings dot the landscape, and there is plenty of wood if you're willing to look for it. Don't pick the first spot off the highway. We drove a ways back from the road and could still hear the traffic at night. There were only a few other campers mid week in October, but there were so many spots that we didn't meet any of them. With all the fire rings made here you can assume it's bumpin' in the summer months. Good for a night or two, 50miles to the Grand Canyon Visitor's center and village. No amenities. No generators, please.

Nice spot along the river. Very quiet at night.
Not hidden from the road but far enough for the noise.
A little of wind at the end of the afternoon until 9:00pm.

Too much wind and people at the mirador of Laguna Colorada !
We drove to this very quiet spot. Hidden from the road and protected from the wind.
Not too cold at this period even during the night.

We could not lock our door due to dust and travel of time... The guy repair all really quick and really professional!! Fair prices. He can make new keys in one minute also!

This is the best place We have camped in our lives! It might be windy, but the views were awesome. I fell sleep watching the sunset.
* ahhh please be careful if you walk there. Some birds hatch their eggs there, and they camouflage with the ground and stones. They look like Dalmatian Jade stone.

here you can buy very very good coffe in beans or grounded. 1kg for 50sols. it received a french price for best coffee in the world. email [email protected]. jose yohann is the owner. so staying overnight with tour camper is no problem.

we paid 15sol/ night camping. tuesday it is closed. we arrived monday night and had the hole place for ourselves and very quiet.

Could stay for one night with the tent. Unfriendly but was the only thing i could find.

Really nice spot with perfect waves in high tide out front!! Slept here two nights with the doors open, muy tranquilo.

Police checking for drugs. Gave them my weed, let me go with no consequences. I guess if you say you don't have any and they find some you will be prosecuted more harshly. They have dogs.

We went to the top, but lot of people come here to hang out or bring a girl. we find a flat spot on the way up, and stayed 2 nights not continously. lot of others spots to find before night. nice view over Bishkek.

Great place, great view. It’s not prohibited to stay here in a camper.

Not possible to sleep in the car/mobilehome/campervan - it is some sort of crappy rule or whatever. She was not able to make a price and seemed overwhelmed. You can only pitch your tent or rent a room. At least it looks nice.

Visa 20.000CFA, only needed passport, nothing else, and took 5 min.

Camp in the middle of nowhere, beautiful place surrounded by the mountains. It’s green, full of trees and different plants. Lots of birds in the morning. There are three campsites with shadow and fence, pit toilets, solar shower. We paid 250 N$ donation for two of us. Last 5 km of the road was really bad even for high suspended car 4x4- full of big stones under the wheels.

Indeed a very good garage! Unfortunately mr. Resa has passed away two months ago. But we got great service from Mohammed and his partners. Mohammed went out of his way to find the right parts and thoroughly and efficiently gave our Mercedes van a big check up after 13000 km. Our engine sounds like new! We had to pay 5 million Rial which we tought was very little because he worked on our van for 10 hours straight. We tipped him 1.000.000 Rial and gave his assisted 500.000 Rial.

Very clean hotel, best we had so far. Negotiated our room from 7000 to 5000 N. Secure parking with guard. Good restaurant.
