great place. we slept 2 nights here. very peaceful

Route is flooded-Easy crossing for cars very difficult for motorcycles.
Base is mostly sand- no stones.
There are helpers in both sides to help you to cross the bikes and tractors to pull cars.There are officials open the crossing in each way.be carefull.

Very good restaurant close to the parking for boat ramp on lake Marion. American food not too greasy and salty. I recommend it.

stayed here one night but not exactly at the spot. the spot looked like it was on private property so we went a bit further down the road and parked in a pine forest. Quiet at night. A few minutes into Comitan which is a pretty big city with many amenities.

We could not locate this place. Ended up in the board yard / camping next door.

Customer stuff asked seguridad, he mean Argentinian insurance, our license plate european, unfortunatly imposible get insurance for Argentina. Before, we crosd Arfentina border 5 time without questions and problem. Hi return ud to Paraguay. Be carefull.

Tried to stay here but couldn't- gate to the access road from the rest stops was locked when i drove in at 6pm. I was driving westbound and didn't think the 30 minute eastbound detour via Rt 33 was worth the risk of another gate being locked. Looks beautiful in the photos, sad we didn't get to check it out! headed up the road to another location instead.

Quiet, easy to find. So glad we found this place after our night's plans fell through and we needed to find a camp after dark. Didn't test the water pump. we were able to let our dog off leash and get some exercise.

Not a bad place to stop on your way out of Big Bend. Pretty much as described. Close to the highway and railway line so you do hear the cars and train but we didn’t find it too bad. Several other cars, trucks and rvs there with us. Washroom facilities are extremely basic with no running water.

Great tour indeed. We visited the church the evening before and found Roger, we couldn’t reach the family on whatsapp (new contact numbers below. Started tour the next morning at 10:30 and came back around 13:30. highly recommended.

An "ok" facility - but waaaaay over priced for what they provide. 400 rand for one person / night. I arrived late, phoned for access, foolishly failed to ask price.

They DO NOT get my highly prized recommendation!

February 7th 2019. River was about 7cm, 8 inches deep We had no problem crossing by airing down the tires and making use of the possi traction in our 2WD Westfalia.
The 2 WD car in front of made it too.

We drove out of our way to come to this bank to no avail. None of the banks around here take international cards. Don’t Even Bother!!!

Paid 35.000 chilian pesos for a revision of my car. Very Profesional and fast. The entry is from the northern side of the facility. San Pablo st.

Still here, behind a big gate and no sign, you need to just beep your horn. We paid ush1100 per kilogram. Beware they will overfill if you don’t tell them it too! We had our Cadac bottles back within 20 minutes.

Small campsite with kitchen and access to power, but may not reach vehicle. You are not allowed to park on the grass so have to park on the outside of the car park. Toilets and shower 2 minute walk away always clean and had hot water. Nice pool - didn’t try food but has extensive menu. We paid $8 pppn. They offer a free shuttle into the central city three times a day, just need to book the evening before with reception.

Road blocked by barrier. Started to walk but locals drove by and told us hiking is not allowed either. They did not know the reason for the closure. The park is managed by the local community - maybe the just did not bother opening up...?!

We asked the police and they said it's not a problem to overnight there. Beautiful scenery.

Our debit card was refused here. ..........

The road is done now so no more closings. Only damage from the landslides due to rainfall past months.

clean and friendly. quiet at night food is good. was windy but not too cold for 850m elevation. 150 pesos tent.

We did the glacier trail (Laguna Los Tempanos). It was approx 10km round-trip from parking and 500m elevation gain, 3 steep parts but rest ok, took us 4.5hrs round-trip including a half hour lunch break. You can park just outside the trail or at the Los Humedales cafe. So cool to be up close and personal with the glacier and ice caves!! A must-do in Ushuaia and it’s free :)

Great place to camp. Long stretch of beach so you can take you pick of spots. The access is a bit sandy, but nothing too bad. It also gets quite windy, but it seems like everywhere in South Chile is windy.

I saw only a couple of friendly locals all day. A bit of plastic washed up on shore. As always. Let's help keep these wild spots clean.

Nice spot. About 50m from the road and a little bit visible. But by the evening there is almost no traffic.

Very quiet, just the sounds of birds on the lake and the frogs.

I would be careful about leaving your vehicle, as the park rangers said there are break ins.

Very lovely place to stay if you would like to be rather not in hostels that are crouded with tourists, showers are hot and all people that are working here are unbelievably nice also giving recommendations about where to go, motorbikes can park inside, rooms are clean, paid 35PSOL per night with pleasure because it's for supporting the Association Cusco Maki who is providing a stay over night for homeless kids and they support young peoples education ... with pleasure again

Near the big gate there is a smaller door. Go through it for 30 m and find a water well where the locals collect drinking water.

We spent a very quiet night here, in the town, just close to the church and the beach. The spot is on the road but there is also a little parking down to this road, which is more confortable and more closer to the sea.
Very beautiful and quiet city.
