Just on the scenic gravel road good possibility to stay for picnick or overnight. Wind protected. no shade. Very few cars. Level gravel pullout. take water with you, there isn't any near this place.
better have 4x4 and good strong engine for this road. But 4x4 is not absolutely necessary. Highest point on this route is at approx 360 m over sealevel.

The gravel road is open. Need strong engine or 4x4 for steep parts. Very scenic road to Aysen. Balsa over Rio Blanco open with horario. See remarks at that location.

Following the gravel road there are many restrictions for the bridges. More than 2t have to cross the small rivers with stones.

Just after traveling South Chile, it's so good to find this place in Ushuaïa.

Just perfect, 1500 peso per kilo, super clean, super dry and well folded linen with a very warm welcome and contact. Do not hesitate.

Small Caffee bar where you can also have lunch.

We had the menu of the day (little salad, awesome meat and a piece of really good cake), three beer, two Espresso (also really good) all for a reasonable price.

The restaurant is on the first floor, the second floor is also for the restaurant (on the roof). Classical music was playing when we were there, which fitted the whole scenery perfectly. Owner said that classical music plays all day here.

We stayed for one night in a double room and payed 15.000. Room is clean, bed is ok. we could park the car inside the gate. because that is where the bar is we preferred to stay in a room. the music stayed on for 24 hours. no running water at the time so bucket shower and put toilet. friendly staff. would be 10.000 for a single room.

Cool hostel, one of the cheapest we could find in San Pedro. 7000 for a dorm bed. Dorms, bathrooms and kitchen are all fine. Overall the place has a nice vibe - outdoor area with pool, deck chairs, hammocks, gym area, bbq, beer pong, good WiFi, secure parking, very nice staff, view of the volcanos 👍🏻 also laundry for 2000 per kilo but they seem generous with the weighing. Cash only but can also pay in USD at very good rate. Didn’t ask if we could camp in the car.

Good free location for camp. Not so clean, but you can always pick a bag and carry some trash with you.

the guy at the entrance turned us down. he said he is not allowed to let anyone enter and stay overnight.

There weren't any light bulbs in the quinchos, and they wanted to sell us one! We could borrow one after some arguing.

Ok place for a car. It's right next to the road. For cycles and motos i would suggest following tireprints that lead from this place down to the river. Two tireprints soon turn into one, and there is a nice secluded spot for one tent with river access and a view. Spent a quiet night there, nobody around.

N Poplar street is a cul-de-sac. Very quiet during the night, but the street sides are not level. About half a dozen other vans and RVs.

We spent the night there after asking permission from the locals. Very calm, safe and free night.

vegan restaurant - this is the correct location for it as of Feb 2019. Very good food, (we had veggie burgers), dessert, kombucha and craft beer. Lovely family, very clean establishment. Mains run around 75 pesos.

Super yummy, fresh to order made churros and hot chocolate. We came here twice! 55 pesos for chocolate churros (chocolate flavour costs extra). Sweet girl at the till speaks some English.

Just east of Khonj the mainroad passes some hills covered in lonely trees and bushes, for shade and to be a little hidden. There’re no tracks and lots of big boulders, only recommended for high clearence vehicles.

I wouldn’t stay a couple days here, but it was good and quiet for one night.

quite night on the carpark next to the house of the security guard. The dogs were really curious while I was cooking in the back of my car, but very friendly.

don’t buy the SOAT here, even the aduana/customs said, it’s a risk to buy it here because of fakes. Buy it at the éxito supermarket in the next town.

Took only 15min to get out of Ecuador, including customs.
Ask for the fast lane so you don’t have to wait with all the Venezuelans.

Closest parking is about 1.5 blocks away.

The shared shower was warm, but not hot.
Paid 30000cop for a room with shared bathroom. no windows in my room, so I slept too long in the morning :)

Everyone is very nice and helpful. The owner Alan extremely knowledgeable. They carry Victron, Sterling, Marinco, Blue Sea Systems products and many more. They make custom cables or you can borrow their tools and make cables yourself. Fair pricing!

A really beautiful campsite right at the river, out of town but not far from it (walking distance). Spots are spacious for both, campers and tents and it has trees to give decent shelter. There's a clean kitchen too (though no gas stoves are supplied) and also the toilets/showers are well taken care of and clean. The owner was very friendly and one can buy eggs from her hens for a very good price. Campsite itself was 5000 Peso pp, no extra charge for camper.

Spent a quiet night here. There is a washroom building at trailhead.
