Public swimming pool & shower. Cost $5. The Kiwanis park is large, has a small lake, bathrooms and plenty of parking as well. All around excellent place in the city!!!

No frill parking but safe. There are signs saying the place is monitored by camera. I’ve stayed here a few nights while in town and there’s usually a few other camper vans and small RVs. *Pro-tip: sign up online to get a free day pass to Planet Fitness to use the showers!!!

fairly busy but we were able to find a spot around 4pm, but lots of people were going in and out later so assume it filled up before dark. beautiful location & good service, but not a lot of privacy and people were loud.

Very nice new (Feb 2021) year round campground with gravel pads, tables, waste receptacles, pit toilets beside a large reservoir with a good view of mountains - snow clad in late March.
Most sites suitable for up to 27’ trailer but there are a few very large sites. On Friday March 26, all but 4 of the 21 sites were full.

Collection of campsites, several on the river. It was built by the Lions but now run by the Village of Gold River. The charge is $15/night.
Most sites have a picnic table & fire ring, and there are pit toilets.
There is “running water” in the river just down the bank - I’d drink it, but some might want to boil it. Great “drinkable” water falls beside the road down to the ocean.

Beautiful spot to stay the night, or multiple nights.
Some road noise in the morning, but quiet otherwise.
Quite a few other people scattered around, but everyone is respectful.
I had no problem with my 2wd van

A lovely “Country Hotel” on top of a hill behind Opuwo, expensive (but all lodges in Namibia seem to be) and with lovely views of the hills surrounding Opuwo.
The palm tree lined infinity swimming pool looks north-west over the valley and meals are on the terrace behind it.

slept here without issue overnight in my 40 foot bus, there is big RV parking! it's really loud from the busy freeway and some jerks were making their rx8 backfire for youtube at 2am right outside my bus for about half an hour. works in a pinch though.

No one bothered us last night, but a train blasted through the nearby tracks every few hours with its horn blowing and the vibrations carried through our Van’s suspension and rattled us in bed. Made for a very fitful night of sleep. Would recommend this only a last resort.

As others described, great spot overlooking a lake. Decent AT&T cell, single portopotty, single picnic table, single bench, single trash and, shared between 6 parking spots. No no camping signs. We stayed overnight with 1 other car, more joined in the morning for hiking. Great overnight when passing through on 101. 15 minutes back to 101 going north, or 20 min going south.

Easy crossing, Tanzania to Mozambique. Traveling with SA motorcycle they wanted me to get insurance, stamping my carnet seemed to please them. I showed very old covid test which they let me through with. No bribes

Took my shuttle bus a half mile in, just past the first pit toilets and found a giant lot with no one in it, good pull offs all around. Super gentle dirt road, no need to have 4x4 unless you go deeper in. Little to no highway noise. Close to hiking trails.

Beware of cow herds that pass through at sundown, several with large horns. Didn’t bother me at all.

Beautiful remote beach off of Mex 19. Easy access on sandy spur road. Camping on beach requires ability to drive in soft sand. No amenities. 4G coverage on Verizon.

Localização boa mas o camping está meio caído com bastante entulho de construção. Os proprietários declaram que assumiram a pouco tempo e que estão recuperando. Ficamos apenas uma noite e parte do dia seguinte e nos cobraram R$ 50 por pessoa.
