annapark717 | Tons of great spots on the scenic byway. Well spread out so you’re not on top of your neighbor. Level, easy to get in and out of, no 4 wheel drive required. Tons of room for bigger trailers. We came in early spring and nearly had the place to ourselves. Will definitely be coming back for a quick weekend stay. |

farmnan | Looked a bit sketchy with abandoned school bus in bad shape. RV trailer w|o tow vehicle. One van. Horrible smell about 2:30am and a person messing around behind and in front of my rig. Dog alarm and security cameras in indicated get out! Definitely do not recommend staying here. |

hansundkuns | Ask in abarrote for a guy to make a guided tour to fossils and dinosaur footprints. There is a comitee of the community organizing tours, they are also setting up a little museum in village. Very nice people, small tour is 60 pesos per person. We used our car to get to location, don't know if they have a car. +522382079223 Noe Barragan (President of the community) |

fotgrid | Last stretch is very washed out and rocky. Would not recommend for anyone in a 2WD vehicle. Our van would not have made it to the top, but a 4x4 short van might be able to. There are tons of spots to park along the road on the way to this spot. Beware of Rattlesnakes, we saw a 4' one on the road on the way to this spot. |

clayclay | 63 is a piece of cake up until this turnoff. It’s nothing but a soggy, muddy mess from the recent snow. If you go during the Winter/Early spring you’ll want a 4x4. T-Mobile drops off completely 3 miles north of Pecos, but there are 911 emergency phones located along 63 at the fire-station and old country store in El Macho and Tererro. Pretty far up so pack in plenty of supplies and fuel up in Pecos. |

Only warning: during long weekends it can become very busy, also with young people enjoying loud music. Policy is to separate campground in quiet family area and other for young people. |

mathersonthemap.com | Big beautiful beach!! Full cell service and right outside of town!! It was really windy while we were here so we couldn’t really enjoy a beach day but I assume in calmer weather this place would be super relaxing! There’s a market and water in town if you need it as well as great restaurants and an amazing bakery right before you turn it! Very safe with lots of locals having a good time! |
