nathyruf | Nice place to sleep. We slept 5 nights, and it was quiet and calm. We feel safe, because it’s close to a hostel with 24h reception, and a big gas station with guard at night. |

leonardo.chinelatto | We spent 2 nights, one night in the tent and other inside the car, because the wind was very strong. The place is very quit, just some fisherman’s at the night, very nice view. |

Warthog&PenguinOnSafari | All as previously described. Sadly still being let down by the ablutions. We had great showers - good pressure and plenty of hot water - but really not very clean at all. Such a shame as this would be a fabulous campsite otherwise. That said, it is probably still the best value for money in the area.

alee | The owner of the Casa de Ciclistas in Trujillo has had a few guests stay over the last few years who have been targeted for robbery in this town. His advice is to have enough water and food so that you don’t have to stop here. No other towns in this region seem to have the same problem. |

ch_haas | This is a great little spot not far from the Khwai North Gate. We didn‘t think we would find a place so close to the village of Khwai that was hidden, but we turned off onto a little side road, and then onto a little tiny loop off of that, and came across a spot perfect for one vehicle, as well as hidden and protected. There is wildlife in the area, so be diligent. |

onespaceman | Level spots available but much of lot is a bit sloped. Scenic. Next to the water and next to the iOverlander site to the left (next to Skateboard park) The Skateboard site was blocked on New Year’s Eve and they told us we could park on this spot. Free and no time limit. Other campers were there. |

casarodante | In Puerto Adolfo López Mateos near to the Beach. Sandy area with some good restaurants. At the entrance there is a sign 10 Pesos/Person. But there was nobody at the kiosk, so we did'nt pay. I think it is because of off season. The toilets are very clean, get closed in the evening. 5 Pesos. The police came by and said it is o.K. to camp here. |

kristendyck | Spent the night here as other options in tamarindo were very expensive and not so nice. Despite comments of theft and break-ins, we had no issues nor saw anything sketchy. However, we were here Jan 1st and it was a madhouse - people were camping all around us so that made us feel safe. We also slept in our vehicle. I’m not sure how it would be in off-season. Disclaimer - there are no facilities here and people use the grounds as toilets as evident by toilet paper strewn about. No privacy to squat so you’ll have to find washrooms in town which is not difficult. There’s additional camping (parking) slightly north on the beach beside a restaurant. They have a gated parking lot behind as well, we saw overlanders there. I assume they offer washrooms and security. |

4ever2wherever (Margriet & Jan) | Large campground in the forest under high, shady trees. Big sites that can be shared between 3 or 4 cars if it is busy. Long drop toilet and fire places. Rain water container. Beautiful 300 meter boardwalk to waterfall. There are waterholes in the creek, but they require some rock climbing. Access via an excellent gravel road. Both park access and campground are free of charge. Apart from the boardwalk there are no other walks around the campground. No mobile reception. |

Venturesome Overland | Big border. Lots of trucks. Everything is in one large building and is quite well organized and efficient. There is a bank and ATM (as well as a Forex) on the Rwanda side and a bank and ATM inside the Immigration building on the TZ side as well. We crossed on New Year’s Day, so it was very quiet. Traveling on a US passport, 7-day transit visa was $30USD and 7-day TIP was free. |

Venturesome Overland | Camping 25,000 TZS for two, camping in the large car park close to the quiet restaurant. Visa card accepted, but the machine wasn’t working. Very fast WiFi with long reach. Rooms and cottages 65,000 TZS for a double. Breakfast included with the campsite, which we didn’t discover until the next morning when we woke up - a nice surprise! Extra helpful and friendly staff. We were the only people on the whole property. |

cjbiketours | TOTALLY GROSS! Broken glass, trash, used toilet paper, the concrete building is one giant toilet inside AND OUT! Nowind protection for a tent under the trees. The trees are nice and if you have a VEHICLE and don't have to get out of it, it would be okay. But being on bicycles, this is one we definitely passed on. Disgusting!. |

cjbiketours | We ended up staying here two nights, the first night was 1/1/2019, on the 2nd we went to see the Penguins and then came back here for a second night. A big mattress is in here and it was actually pretty clean! Lots of cyclists names and dates, love the history! There is no water close by but there is a water source 5.3 Km south. Also, no toilets. |
