New Hostel and clean, really frendly staff.
Location is great.
We could store our push bikes on a storage room. There is no garage available.
Price is 35 for a room with 2 single beds and 30 soles for a matrimonial room (2people) on the 4th floor.
Bathroom is clean, hot water (No electrical shower) but you need to wait couple minutes to get hot water properly.
Wifi works great everywhere in hostel. They have parking for bicycles

we put our tent right next to the river, since the river seems to be much bigger during the rain season, there is enough space deeper than the area around to protect it from being seen.
to get there follow the road towards the thermals and turn right when you reach the cementary.
around 8 pm the level of the river increases for around half an hour supposibly due to the basins in the thermal being emptied.

Perfect beach cove and one of the largest in the area. Family owned and operated (Martin) and was always on property. I will being staying here again in the future. On site wifi was a little slow but no problem on my Verizon or Tecel singles. The military is right next door. It was windy while I was here it was great to have gravel at the camp site then sand. Tip shower is hot water on demand so ask Martin how to turn it on.

Tented for 3 nights for 10,000 crc per night (negotiated down from 12k and 10 year old son was free). Washrooms, dish washing areas and showers were cleaned regularly and WC restocked with TP. Camping under the trees was excellent and kept the tent cool in the late afternoon. Other campers came and went but super quiet except for the howler monkeys in the morning. The swimming pools were a great way to cool down and get rid of that last bit of sand from the beach. Ballena Beach was fantastic. 1,000 crc per adult (resident $6 tourist) and drive through to park beach front. Bring your surf or boogie board to enjoy the waves. Friendly staff make this place highly recommended. Drivers in a 3 ton delivery truck stayed at the hotel one night, so absolutely big rig friendly. The best campground so far in our experience. The store across from the campground has a surprisingly large selection, but not sure why you need 3 different types of soy sauce?

Flawless process entering Argentina. They didn’t look in our Camioneta at all so we could have smuggled tons of drugs or even fresh food, unfortunately we did not;-).

Nice camping place in front of the beach without amenities. Perfect for big and self-contained rigs. You can walk at the beach to Canoa ( 2km ) in order to buy supplies or hire one of the Tuk Tuks. 4x4 is recommended due to soft sand. Enjoy the place and keep it clean!

Anything but lonely when we arrived! It was new years day, no spaces left to park and at least 150 people enjoying what looks to be a lovely spot. We had to go back to the North most river spot on ioverlander, 8 km up the road. Choose your day wisely

Great spot, parked up on the beach and had a great sleep. Few motorbikes came down with couples for a shag in the bushes but our presence scared all but one horny couple away. The locals swim in this river if you were concerned about the cleanliness. We didn't die after a cleansing.

Very nice Eco Camping, especially with a tent. Up to 2 vans possible, not perfectly even though. Slightly warm shower in the afternoon. Robert is incredibly nice, we had fires at the Fogon every night. Perfect spot for discover the surroundings of Hornopiren, also close to the ferries. 8000 clp pppn. Worth it.

Great roomy place, there's a few different campsite to choose from, one even has a thunderbox. We ran into some local while spending new years here, they were pleased to hear that we had cleaned up the area a few weeks priority really a simple idea. If we want these places to stray open, they need remain clean!

This is really a nice developed campground. Everything you need here. We paid $8/p to tent camp with motos on nice level grass with a lot of space. Richard works really hard to keep the place up and to make sure you enjoy your stay. The restaurant serves great burgers (as well as other food) and ice cold beer at reasonable prices. Great spot to set up camp and visit Santa Clara beach and El Valle. Very safe and secure.

seriously? this is not a trip advisor application! please reserve the warning comments for real dangers! it is a boat tour, so waves could be presents! but this is not a "dangerous" tour. all boats are the same, whatever the company, and for us us, the tour was awesome.

could be not good with bad weather, I agree, but it doesn't deserve a warning! we don't want 1.000 warning for everything people, didn't like. thanks!

Lovely pebble beach but they were putting up a fence when we were there, blocking most of the access roads. Not sure why or what they are fencing but beware!
